Day out: Elan cafe and Glamour beauty festival!

Hello everyone

This is actually my first post since October. I didn’t plan on leaving it this long however i have been very busy. I’v started several posts but never found the time to finish them, then they became a little outdated: However here i am finally finding the time to sit down and write.

So last Saturday me and my sister traveled from Norwich to London for a day out. The main pur

pose of the trip was to attend the Glamour beauty festival (more on that later).

Before we went to the festive we went to the Elan cafe in Hans crescent Kensington. We both had been following it on instagram for a long time and always wanted to go there. It is so beautiful in there, i was a little worried about the food there as i’m quote fussy when it comes to food, however i had the most beautiful brunch bowl, it tasted really nice and the presentation was beautiful, with it i had a mango and passion fruit smoothie which was also presented in a beautiful manner. I would recommend this place if you want something fairly cheap but also fancy being a little extra!!

So back to the beauty festival: me and Josie a both beauty junkies, it’s what we bond over. So firstly it was really nice to go with her. The event started at 2:30 and was packed with plenty of the biggest names in hair and beauty, from Real Techniques to Nails inc. For the £49 that we paid for the tickets we got a facial from Elizabeth Arden, our make up done by Hudda Beauty and Real techniques and our hair done by schwarzkopf. Everybody there was so talented. I purchased some Real Techniques contour brushes and where given tips on how to create a good contour which i can’t wait to use.

Within the ticket price was a talk. The one that we chose to go was talk with Wendy Rowe. She was very passionate and inspiring, especially for me who is somebody like me who would love to work as a make up artist, she has inspired me to get the ball rolling in trying to make that happen. (which means hopefully i will post more on here about make up)

The final thing that was included in this day was a free goody bag, honestly when i found this out i though it would just be samples but honestly it was such a good bag The contents was worth £160, which alone made the day worth it. It contained products from Hudda Beauty, nails inc, real techniques, No7, batiste just to name a few (if you would like me to do a separate post showing you what i got please let me know).

If your into your beauty i would 100% recommend going next year it’s worth the price and you learn a few things and it’s just a fantastic treat.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you would like to delve more into my life feel free to follow me on twitter and instagram.
